Nucleusbox (“we,” “our,” “us”) is an educational tech blog at nucleusbox.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control your info.
1) What we collect
- Basic contact details you provide (e.g., name, email) if you subscribe to a newsletter or contact us.
- Comments/content you post (if comments are enabled).
- Usage data like pages viewed and approximate location via cookies/analytics (e.g., Google Analytics). You can control cookies in your browser.
2) How we use it
- To run and improve the site, respond to messages, send optional newsletters, and keep the site secure (fraud/spam prevention).
- Legal bases (if you’re in the EU/UK): consent (newsletter/cookies), contract (when you ask us to deliver content you requested), and legitimate interests (site security and analytics). EU/UK users have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict/ object, and request portability; we’ll facilitate those requests.
3) Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for three jobs: keeping the site working, understanding which pages help readers (Google Analytics / Google Site Kit), and showing ads (Google AdSense).
Google AdSense uses cookies to serve and measure ads, and — if you allow it — to show personalized ads based on your interests and browsing. If you refuse personalization, you can still see ads; they will be less relevant (non-personalized ads).
You can control this in three places:
- The consent banner on this site (shown to visitors in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and in US states that require an opt-out).
- Your browser cookie settings.
- Google’s ad settings: https://adssettings.google.com/
4) Sharing
We do not sell your email list. We do share limited personal information with Google, as AdSense’s advertising partner, so Google can serve, measure, and (when you consent or do not opt out) personalize ads. Under California CPRA this can count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out with the consent / “Do Not Sell or Share” message on this site, or at https://adssettings.google.com/.
We also use service providers that help us run the site (hosting, email if you subscribe, comment spam filters, analytics). They only get what they need to do that job.
California (CCPA/CPRA): you may have rights to know, delete, and correct certain personal information and to opt out of sale or sharing. Use the banner or email us. We will honor a browser opt-out signal (GPC) when the consent tool supports it.
How we make money: Google AdSense display ads; affiliate links when we recommend a tool, course, or cloud we have actually used (you do not pay more); and a small paid digital kit when one exists. Affiliate and product pages will say so at the top.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you’re a California resident, you may have rights to know, delete, and correct certain personal information and to limit use of sensitive information. We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we’ll add a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.
5) Children’s privacy
Our site isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal info from kids under 13 and will delete such data if we learn about it.
6) International transfers
If we transfer personal data internationally, we use safeguards recognized by the EU (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) when applicable.
7) Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it.
8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method is 100% secure.
9) Your choices
- Unsubscribe links in emails.
- Browser controls for cookies.
- Rights requests: To access, correct, delete, or exercise other rights (EU/UK/California), email us.
11) Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, if material, post a notice on the site.
